While the site is going through updates you may notice slow downs in page loads and other glitches through out the pages. Bill in Congress Could Bring BLM to Colorado

The Bureau of Land Management HQ could be moving from DC to the Federal Center in Lakewood, Colorado or the Western Slope. Their claim is so that "they can be closer to the land in the west that they manage". Anyone else feel like this is a reaction to the Bundy Ranch standoff?

  • There was once a Movement to bring DC to Denver or Southern Colorado. It was to be called "The Summer White House" because the Swamp was too hot for Business during the Hot Months.

    The necessary duplication of Facilities was what stymied it. Plus the Desire to keep Foreign Diplomats from exploring the Interior.

    Personally, I'd prefer the Decentralization of Gov't. But, keep them on Private Land that's bought. NOT on Public Lands that they seized...
